The Lord gave you the grace to enter into 2010

AP MDC by Reverend Pastor Jean-Claude KOFFI – Paris France

Beloved in the Lord, we are in 2010! And we are there –you and me! What an awesome opportunity for us who stayed alive by the infinite grace of our Lord!
I know, and there is no doubt to that, that 2009 has been for many of us a wonderful year. But I have to admit that for others, this has been a very challenging year in many ways.
Nevertheless, regardless of our different experiences in the past twelve months, let us make the following new year’s resolution, according to the word given to Jeremiah the prophet : “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning… It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD” (Lamentations 3:21-26).
Let you and I consider this : that despite all the different issues of your recent past, which were a hallenge to your courage, determination, ambition, dreams, projects, and at times even to your faith, the Lord gave you the grace to enter into 2010.
By this fact, know that He hasn’t said His last word concerning you. Hence you should understand that it is important that you take heed to Him, by taking hold of His promises, through a living faith – through an active and persevering faith.
Believe me, by doing so, 2010 will be for you a year of stability and of big achievements.
This is why, according to Jeremiah, hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. And this, regardless of the nature and aspects of your needs.
Concerning hoping and waiting, I know a place, a similar place, “a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year” (Deuteronomy 11:12).
In that place are summed up the conditions of your stability. It is a place of favor for great achievements; a place where divine grace is never quenched, where our expectations are never voided, where hopelessness, deceit, failure, injustice, adversity… all become opportunities for us to be led into the fulfillment of our destiny.
This place is “IN HIM”… yes, IN HIM who said : “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:5,7).

ence my wish for you is that all throughout this year, you abide “IN HIM”… and “HIM!” in you !
Happy New Year 2010 !
